Our Buyer Engagement Program

Demonstrating compliance for

Better Market Opportunities

and traceability for consumers

Our BSP BE program has developed a set of tools like the RSS standard, the RSS program and a rapid risk assessment methodology for data deficient fisheries that standardizes and facilitates improvement recognition by value chain economic actors. This recognition is key to create incentives that allow lasting improvements and at a scale, and to create pride and give meaning to the sustainability efforts implemented by fishers and fishing communities dependent on natural resources.

What We Do

Fostering Partnerships

Partnership with Supply chains STI, Fishta and building relations with many others such hotel chains and retailers interested to create a Philippines industry movement that supports fisheries improvements.

Supporting Economic Growth

Building the supply (quality, quantity, and compliance to RSS standard) and building the demand by working with actors all across the supply chain.

Responsible Seafood Sourcing (RSS)

Implementing RSS helps shift the demand toward responsibly-sourced and sustainable seafood, so fisheries and fishing practices improve over time.

Working with buyers and producers for

Environmental & Social Stewardship

While raising awareness for consumers

Responsible Seafood Sourcing (RSS) is a vehicle that enables seafood businesses to take part in reducing the impacts of fishing and fish farming by sourcing responsibly.

It allows suppliers, processors, and end-buyers to consistently provide seafood products while improving the health of the oceans and the livelihoods of local fishing communities.
